Things to DO
Silver lAKE/ ECHO PARK
Our home :) Silver Lake is a super fun neighborhood full of surprising restaurants and boutiques. A few of our favorite spots:
Grab a martini at the Silverlake Pool & Inn, the bar/restaurant the Marco Polo Lounge has daily HH specials for your favorite ‘tini and some fries
Burgers Never Say Die - the best smashburger on the east side (in my humble opinion). Second runner up, Lowboy in Echo Park (above is Bar Flores, great margarita)
Cafe Stella - (or bar stella for just a cocktail) a special cafe great for brunch or dinner, in the heart of Sunset Junction (steps from great coffee @ Intelligensia)
Bacetti - a new italian restaurant neighboring some great natural wines & offers a selection of delicious pastas (don’t forget the focaccia!)
Little Doms - a cozy little italian spot in Los Feliz with a great bowl of spaghetti, and often frequented by a list stars!
KOREATOWN
Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong - delicious korean bbq in Chapman Square plaza, put in your name and grab a drink at Toe Bang next door while you wait
Tokki - also located in Chapman Plaza, a modern take on KBBQ if you’re not wanting to get smelly on the grill
Here’s Looking At You - a sit down restaurant that is NOT korean, delicious food and wine
Koreatown Plaza is chock full of asian markets & beauty stores if you’re keen for some korean facemasks!
DOWNTOWN
KazuNori - the best handrolls ever (I always go for five :)) - brought to you by the folks @ Sugarfish
Bavel - the best Mediterranean spot ever. Highly recommend a reservation, and if you’re up to it - the mushroom kabob is incredible
Arts District in general has gone through a lot of changes (shopping at The Row, upscale delicious burger at Camphor, and the best pimento cheese at Manuela)
Don’t forget all the beautiful museums! Stop by for a drink @ Otium if you go to the Broad for modern art, or grab a bowl of ramen at Daikokuya (it’s worth the wait) if you stop by MoCA.
